Keyhole takes advantage of the 3D graphics capabilities standard on most desktop PCs shipped in the last four years. If you are using Keyhole on an older machine, or a notebook computer that does not have 3D graphics capabilities, you might not be able to run the Keyhole application. We currently do not offer a Macintosh version of the Keyhole client.

The Keyhole 2 LT client will work on most graphics cards from the following manufacturers:

When you fly down to a city in Keyhole, you are actually pulling data over the Internet from our servers, just like a music download service. Keyhole is an “Application Service Provider” — providing a service for downloading satellite and aerial imagery and other geographic data. |

Keyhole continuously updates its database with the average age of imagery ranging from 18 to 24 months. Imagery can vary in age from as new as 2-3 months to as old as 2-3 years. Keyhole is increasingly taking advantage of satellite imagery to update the Keyhole database more aggressively. |
