Every year we put out the href="http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist/archive.html"
id="d63e" >Year-End Zeitgeist, a look at the most popular and
fastest-rising search terms in hopes of telling us something about
what's been on our (collective) mind. This was my first year
working on this project, and I'm here to report I was
pleasantly surprised by many of the findings. Yes, 2007 was a big
year for U.S. politics, and, of course, there were several peaks
coinciding with the indiscretions of a few starlets — but what I
found particularly interesting were some of the timeless themes
that surfaced: what is love, who is god and how to kiss, to name a
few. No matter how much changes over time, these questions seem to
be constants. I don't know about you, but I hope we never get
to the bottom of them. Searching for an answer is half the
fun.

If you haven't already done so, be sure to check out our href="http://www.google.com/intl/en/press/zeitgeist2007/index.html" >
