Planes Towing Banners

Check out this fantastic capture of a
plane towing a banner message past a packed beach in Italy.

Here’s
another plane towing a message off the coast of South Carolina
(where there’s also
a great shot of someone parasailing too).

I don’t know what messages these planes were flying, but at
North Perry Airport in Florida someone’s left one of these
plane-banners lying out, and you can clearly read the message “
CAT I LOVE, YO!“…

World’s Largest Paper Planes

Filed under: Google Sightseeing — Wrote by Lees on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 @ 9:50 pm

Well, unfortunately the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:NASA_Langley_paper_airplane.jpg
world’s largest real paper planes aren’t usually kept
outside, so today we’ll have to make do with sculptures of
extremely large paper planes.

in Mukilteo, Washington, Dillion Works (who specialise in
creating large 3D architectural elements), claim to have the
world’s largest paper plane
doubling as an awning over their front door (http://www.wlra.us/wl/wlpaperairplane.htm ground level
shot).

>

Meanwhile in Germany, we find an equally huge, but slightly more
adventurous paper plane, which has
come to rest on the roof of Berlin’s Tegel airport.

>

So, does anybody know of any more huge paper planes lying
around? src='/wp-content/uploads/2007/2007121917165581277803.gif'

Thanks to me and Frank.

Planes in Formation?

Filed under: Google Sightseeing — Wrote by Lees on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 @ 8:06 am

Initially we thought this was possibly the coolest find ever,
but sadly this is not
9 small planes flying in formation over Denmark. No, even
better
than that, when you
look closer it becomes obvious that someone has taken a single
plane, and has been cloning it in Photoshop!

>

This is of course a complete scandal… I mean, it’s all very well
blurring out Government buildings, which is just hiding
the truth… but this? This is out and out fantasy! Where will it all
end? (Probably Alien
Civilizations and UFOs no
doubt…)

The company that provides this particular aerial image is called
http://www.scankort.dk/ Scankort, but as yet we’ve
been unable to prove whether the image was manipulated by them, or
by Google themselves. However, there is one other
possibility… No, I’m not talking about aliens, I’m talking about
BBC 2!

They get everywhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj44vZo2Pqk those little
2s…
